Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m Jason Down, a senior programmer/analyst for Home Hardware where I have had the pleasure of working since 2003.
During my days I get to code in C#, Dynamics NAV (C/AL) and a few other technologies every once in a while. I write custom software for our network of 1000+ Home Hardware dealers.
During my evenings I spend time with my wife and four kids, learn about various technologies (I’m getting addicted to functional programming), golf (badly) and write posts on this blog. I also spend some time on Stackoverflow and the Ebooks Stackexchange, where I am a Moderator Pro Tempore.
In addition to working for Home Hardware, I am also a co-founder and CTO of Sigma Shift Corp. (website to come soon… we are very new ;)).
My blog has been focused mostly on .Net, Dynamics NAV and the interop between the two (including add-in controls). However, I will be shifting focus due to my startup. The new focus will be on functional programming. More specifically, I will be writing about the PEPE stack (Postgres, Elixir, Phoenix, Elm) and perhaps some F#, to not completely abandon the .Net ecosystem.
Thanks for taking interest in me and my blog. Please take a look around and enjoy!
